Thank you for stopping by Mrs. Kye's class, where I intend to use this blog for school purposes now and then later transition into a real blog for teachers looking for good ideas to use and/or share.

Pinterest in the Classroom
I learned something new with this PINTEREST this week. I never used the site before and found that I have been missing out BIG time. This site is the bee's knees and I can't stop my from it. Every chance I get I am on the site. There is so many ideas that I am having a hard time deciding which ones to do.
As a teacher I have borrowed a handful of ideas for our up and coming parent/teacher conferences. The parents are going to be pleased and my teaching team and administrator are going to be blown away. I don't actually conduct conferences this round, but it is my job to coordinate them and thanks to Pinterest; I'm about to knock it out the park. Check out my boards to get a picture of what I am talking about.
Some major strengths of this site is that it reaches a wide range of topics. There is literally something for everybody, every hobby, every genre that you can think of. I'm not sure sure why I always thought of it as a place people shared their lonely like project. I couldn't have been more wrong. As for challenges, I only came across one and probably just need to spend a little more time on it to figure it out. I could not figure out how to move curtain pins from one board to another. It would have been very helpful for me if I knew how, so forgive me if you find duplicate pins in my boards. I am a first time user.
Over all my experience with Printerest was a great one that I will continue to use from here on out as well as encourage other to use it. This has been my most favorite assignments yet.
