My Prezi

My intended audience is new teachers entering the field of early childhood in the area of preschool. My passion is preschool, so I intend on using all my knowledge and education to train newcomers to be their best walking into this great profession. I had a wonderful mentor who showed me the ropes when I first started and I want to share that with all who want to listen. I enjoy working with new teacher because I feel they are like blank slates waiting for someone to apply an array of beautiful colors to their canvas. Another reason I like working with this group is because they are so eager to learn and apply what they have learned this is not always true of teachers who have been in the field for a while. They seem to need a little more persuasion, but give me a little longer whit them and I believe that they will come around too.

This was my very first time using Prezi.  I like that there were so many templates to choose from and so many different ways to create and/or re-crate one. It became a little much at times with all that moving around. I got lost here and there, but was able to find my way back to what I needed to do. I tell you what though; it is very time consuming. I played with this thing for a week. My real problem is having too much information to share, but not wanting to overwhelm you all with an overload of information.      I like this site because Vikkie had a few things that popped out at me without me being overwhelming. This 'Blog" thing is so new to me that every one seems to have an over share of information on it. She had how to videos right on the front page, as well as stab that offered freebies. She even had a link where she featured other teachers blogs.

     Now this is a blog page I will definatly be referring back to. I found so many helpful ideas here on this blog that I tried to click on everything completely  loosing track of time. I love that there was real artwork from actual students posted here, one of which I used in one of the toddler classrooms at the center where I work. I like the "Three R's" Respect, Resources and Rants all of which you would find on this blog.

     It is so funny that I came across this blog in my search, because I was introduced to thing one in one of my earlier ECE courses and wanted to revisit it. We watched a small clip about  teacher Tom and I wanted to the rest of the clip. I was able to do that as well as view other topics and pictures. This blog spot is very clean and neatly put together. I did not once become overwhelmed and that could be partly because I knew I had been looking for this.

Hello, my name is Kyedeana N. Mosley, everyone calls me "Kye". I married my best friends brother, whom I had a crush on all through high school. We met finally after four years and it was love at first sight, well for him anyway, because I was already in love with him from pictures, videos and stories shared with me from his brother and cousins. We have three teenage children, two girls and one boy. I really enjoy being a wife and a mother. With my children becoming closer to becoming college bond, I have to make haste in obtaining my degree. As the old saying goes "Practice what you preach." and I can show them better then I can tell them.

One of my biggest interest is my family. I take pride in how close we are and for those of you that have teens of your own, you know this is not easy. From the time when my children were very young I was involved in play groups and reading clubs of many. I would and still make every effort to involve them in whatever I was doing. I give them choices as to what we will do and when, this way they really enjoy whatever it is that we do. Some people say my interest is keeping my husband and children happy and I do agree.  Another interest of mine is beautifying and empowering women. I believe that a woman is only as pretty as she feels. I learned and witnessed this firsthand at a young age. I became a cosmetologist to help as best as I can, because everybody know that a beauticians second job is a counselor/psychiatrist. Well at least from where I am from this is true.

My goals in becoming a teacher  are to figure out each student and personalize lesson as best as I can to help them accomplish any task. Also to be the teacher that they would always remember and write about when they get into a college course similar to this. I want to build relationships and give my students the power to do the same in their community. Lastly, one of my goals is to provide the parents of my students the sense of belonging and teamwork that it takes to grow strong, healthy and smart children. A lot of times parents don't feel included in what goes on at their child's school or in class on a personal level.
